Tips for the Order of Events

A professional MC will coordinate the order of affairs at your reception without intruding or taking over. Here is a list of the traditional MC's duties:

• Liaise with caterers and band / DJ
• Direct guests to refreshment areas
• Seat Guests
• Welcome guests on behalf of the Bride &Groom
• Introduce the Wedding / Bridal Party
• Announce Entrees
• Announce Dinner
• Call upon each person giving a speech
• Announce cutting of the cake
• Announce Bridal Waltz
• Announce Bridal Party and Parents to join the Bride & Groom on the dance floor
• Invite the other guests to join the dancing
• Announce Sweets
• Announce Garter Removal and Toss
• Announce tossing of Bridal Bouquet
• Announce Farewell Circle / Guard of Honour
